The Essential and the Apex Pro share the same precision blade geometry — the difference is handle weight. The Essential's electroplated zinc-alloy handle is slimmer and lighter; the Apex Pro's solid 316L stainless steel handle is heavier and more substantial. Blades are interchangeable between them.

Why we are phasing it out

Two razors split the customer and complicate the decision. One razor is better for everyone involved. We are carrying the remaining Essential inventory through to sell-out for customers who prefer a lighter handle; after that, the Apex Pro is the single PrimalGlide razor going forward.

Available finishes

Gunmetal, Rose Gold, and Silver — subject to remaining stock. All three are the same razor underneath.

How to use

Same technique as the Apex Pro. Apply Bio Glide first, hold at roughly 30°, let the weight do the work, short strokes in the direction of hair growth. See the Apex Pro PDP for the full quickstart.
