What makes PrimalBasics products different from other natural skincare?
Two things. First, the formulas are short. Four ingredients in the tooth powder. Seven in the deodorant. Nine in Bio Gold. We use only lipids and minerals that the skin already knows how to use — not the long ingredient lists that most clean brands rely on. Second, we publish what we exclude. The 0% Standard™ is fourteen non-negotiable exclusions across every product. Most clean brands are vague about what "clean" means; we are specific.
Are PrimalBasics products suitable for sensitive skin?
Yes. Synthetic fragrance, sodium lauryl sulfate, propylene glycol, and parabens — the most common irritants in cosmetics — are excluded by the 0% Standard. Customers with reactive skin tend to do well on the line. If you have a specific allergy, every ingredient is on every label.
Where are PrimalBasics products formulated and made?
Mike Green formulates every product in Bangkok. Our manufacturing partner is the Medical Science and Research Innovation Institute (MSRI), at Prince of Songkla University in Hat Yai, southern Thailand. See the Made in Thailand page for the full story.
Where do you ship?
We currently ship within Thailand only. Orders are dispatched within 1–2 business days and typically arrive in 2–5 business days via Kerry Express. Free Thailand shipping on orders over THB 250. International availability is planned for the second half of 2026.
What is your return policy?
Two layers. The standard PrimalBasics Guarantee: 30-day returns on any product, opened or unopened, for any reason, with free return shipping in Thailand. The extended Bio-Active Guarantee: 60 days on the four Bio-Active products (Bio Clean, Bio Glide, Bio Recovery, Bio Gold) — empty bottles included. See the Returns page for full terms.
Are your products tested on animals?
No. PrimalBasics is cruelty-free. We do not test on animals and we do not use animal-derived ingredients except beeswax — which appears in two products and is noted on those product pages.
What is the Bio-Active Lipid System™?
Our four-product face and shave system, built around lipids that are bio-identical or biochemically compatible with the skin's own structure. Most cosmetics either occlude the skin from above (mineral oil, petrolatum) or use seed oils that oxidise on the skin. Bio-Active uses neither. Cleanser, serum, pre-shave, post-shave — every step of the daily ritual, formulated to the same standard.
How should I store my PrimalBasics oils?
Cool, dry, away from direct sunlight. The oils we use are selected for high oxidative stability — refrigeration is not required. Keep lids closed.
Is PrimalDent safe for daily use?
Yes. Designed for daily use. Four ingredients: bentonite clay (mineral-rich, mildly abrasive), sodium bicarbonate (neutralises oral acid), Ceylon cinnamon (antimicrobial), peppermint essential oil (antimicrobial, clean finish). No fluoride, no SLS, no glycerin, no sweeteners, no artificial foaming agents.
Why doesn't PrimalDent contain hydroxyapatite?
Hydroxyapatite is the dominant new active across clean-beauty oral care, and the published evidence for it is real. We evaluated it — including a Japanese eggshell-derived supplier — and decided not to formulate with it. Saliva at the right pH already deposits the same mineral your enamel is made of; PrimalDent's job is to keep those conditions intact.
