About PrimalBasics
PrimalBasics is a Bangkok-based founder-formulated personal-care brand. Mike Green formulates every product to The 0% Standard™ — a published 14-item exclusion list that defines what every PrimalBasics formula does not contain. The line uses only lipids that are bio-identical or biochemically compatible with human skin, and excludes industrial seed oils, synthetic fragrance, parabens, sulfates, silicones, and petroleum derivatives. The brand's manufacturing partner is the Medical Science and Research Innovation Institute (MSRI) at Prince of Songkla University, on its Hat Yai campus in southern Thailand. The Bio-Active Lipid System™ launches internationally in the second half of 2026.
Founder
Mike Green is the founder and formulator of PrimalBasics. At 49, after a 100-pound weight loss that reshaped how he thought about ingredients in the body, he extended the same ingredient-literacy to personal care — first formulating a tooth powder on his kitchen counter in 2018, then a magnesium deodorant, then a face serum for his wife. PrimalBasics launched publicly as a skincare brand in 2025, and partnered with the Medical Science and Research Innovation Institute (MSRI) at Prince of Songkla University as its manufacturing partner in the same year.
