Why this product exists

We could make our own branded blade. We have chosen not to. Gillette's London Bridge line is a proven, consistent, widely-available blade — and replacing razor cartridges with branded-razor-economics for our customers would contradict the cost-discipline we hold ourselves to elsewhere.

How to use

Unwrap one blade. Insert into either PrimalGlide handle. Use normally. Dispose safely in a blade bank; we include one with both razors.

How often should I replace?

Why we sell someone else's blade

We could put our own logo on a double-edge blade. We choose not to. Gillette's London Bridge line is a globally consistent, widely available reference-quality blade. Putting a PrimalBasics logo on the same blade and selling it at a markup would contradict the cost-discipline we hold ourselves to elsewhere — and it would lock you into us as a supplier of a commodity that has multiple good options.

Stock a few packs with us if it's convenient. Source them anywhere else if it's cheaper. Both PrimalGlide Apex Pro and PrimalGlide Essential use the same standard double-edge blade — there is no proprietary cartridge, ever.

What you're buying

Five Gillette double-edge platinum-coated blades per pack. Each blade is good for approximately 5–7 shaves at daily use, or 10+ at three-times-per-week. One pack covers roughly 5–7 weeks of daily shaving, or 10+ weeks at lighter cadence.

How to swap a blade safely

1. Rinse the razor thoroughly to remove residue. 2. Unscrew the handle one to two turns until the head plate separates from the comb. 3. Lift the spent blade out by its short edges, not the long edges. 4. Drop it directly into a metal blade-disposal tin or a dedicated sharps container — never loose in household waste. 5. Pick up a fresh blade by its short edges, place it onto the comb pins. 6. Replace the head plate. 7. Tighten the handle until firm but not over-torqued. The blade should sit flush against both comb edges.

When to change

You'll know. A fresh blade glides; a tired blade tugs. Skin tells you before you've thought about it. Most users go 5–10 shaves per blade — variability comes from beard density, prep, and how aggressively you angle the razor.

How long does a pack last

Five blades × ~6 daily shaves per blade = roughly 30 days of daily shaving per pack. At three-times-per-week, that becomes 10+ weeks. Buy two or three packs and you've covered the year.

The Apex Pro and Essential connection

Both PrimalGlide razors are designed around the standard double-edge blade. Apex Pro is solid 316L stainless steel, 90g, premium build. Essential is zinc/brass alloy with chrome electroplating, lighter at 50g, the most affordable way into the single-blade shave. They use the same blade. If you have either razor, this pack fits.
